Design Character
Iacere is minimal, literary, monochromatic. The forest green and off-white duet is strict — a two-tone discipline that enforces clarity over decoration. Garamond grounds every interface in a centuries-old document tradition; every screen is a page.
A single accent, gold (#c8a84b), completes the palette — used for floating controls and editorial details. It reads as illuminated, not intrusive, and keeps the system coherent: two tones, one accent, one reserved danger color. Non-canonical data rows use a forest green alpha (rgba(0,68,0,0.22)) — distinct, but fully within the palette family.
When in doubt: less. When uncertain about color: green. When uncertain about type: the serif.
